3. The landline phone did not work; and because none of the 6 people in the cabin got cell reception, there was no way to contact anyone via phone.

My husband and I spent a weekend at the Angel Cabin #2 at Deep Creek at Rocky Ridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Anything we needed they were there to help us. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend anyone who is wanting to visit the Bryson City area to stay in one of them. It's something we will definitely be doing again!

1. The hot tub would not get hot and, after a power outage, did not work at all.

It definitely was not the worst lodging experience I’ve ever had. However, I’ve stayed at comparatively immaculate cabins for a similar price as this one. The best part of our experience with Great Smokey’s Cabin Rentals was speaking to the customer service folks leading up to our stay. They were very nice.

GPS lead us to rural area far from destination.

9. The couch had a large rip in it from previous guests.

We are unfortunately locked into this cabin. I was excited to visit and stay for my birthday weekend until we found out what a nightmare this all is to book a cabin with them through Airbnb. On top of that the staff had horrible customer service and told us there is absolutely nothing they can do its all on Airbnb even though they are the host. I will never use Airbnb or recommend this rental company to anyone. I am pretty upset I have to spend my birthday weekend in this cabin and give this company money but even when you try to cancel 1 hr after booking a week in advance they still get to keep most of the money. I use to love booking through Airbnb but this experience has made it an absolute nightmare. Not to mention I had recommended this to my boyfriend who is booking and he is the one getting the worst end of it all on his very first time booking with this host through Airbnb. Usually hosts on Airbnb are so friendly and accommodating he did not realize it was a cabin rental company until they emailed him a lease agreement.

7. The checkout instructions did not appear to be specific to our cabin (or maybe they were just outdated) causing some confusion. We were unable to contact the rental company via phone until after we left (due to the disconnected landline).

I cannot rave about this company enough. No stay is ever perfect, but GSCR really goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. My husband and I recently enjoyed a quiet weekend away together where it felts as if our stress melted away. Will be returning very soon for a family adventure!

2. The sheets in one of the bedrooms were sandy and had long hairs in them.

Our family stayed at one of their cabins called “Mountain Lure.” We have a few critiques that I’ve included below. With a little TLC, the cabin could be really nice!

We had to get dog sitters due to the outrageous pets fees and now I have to spend my birthday weekend in a cabin that will feel nothing like home and has already been a bad experience and we haven't even arrived. I truly hope the cabin at least lives up to the pictures and it isn't an absolute complete disappointment.

The host told us " we should have booked through them not airbnb", how were we to know we would run into all this why would you say that to a paying customer ? I typically used Airbnb instead of rental companies because the good hosts are so pleasant to work with and those hosts gave such an amazing experience I loved using Airbnb. I felt like this was a competition and blame game between the rental company and Airbnb which is the worse kind of service you can offer customers. If you have to say we should book through them not Airbnb then don't post your listing to Airbnb.

5. Dust was caked on the TV screen, door moldings, under furniture, and pretty much every other place that wasn’t a table top.
