We made a trip from Murphy, NC to rent bikes here since I couldn't find another spot closer the time of year we were vacationing (late Oct). Well, the owner (Brad) certainly made it worth our while! He was so personable and took time to make sure the bikes "fit" us, thoroughly explained all of the gears/brakes, etc, got the rack set up on our little compact rental car, walked us through all the steps of how to load/unload/secure the bikes to the rack, gave us detailed info on how to get to the trail, etc. Really cared about us being safe & having a good time. Top notch service....with a smile! We spent about 2 hours riding the trails at Deep Creek. I work out a good amount but some of those inclines were tough & we had to get off & walk the bikes up them. So fun coming down! Beautiful scenery/surroundings in Deep Creek, highly recommend riding these trails. Dropping off the bikes was just as easy as picking up and Brad again got to work getting the rack off quickly so we could mosey away for some horseback riding near by. Hope you give his bike shop a try. He's a really friendly guy who wants nothing more than to make sure us tourists have a fantabulous time!! I'll definitely be a repeat customer if ever back in his neck of the woods.
Interested in getting into mountain biking, went in store, and it was very dark, almost like a bar. No one greeted me to see if I needed any help (which I did). As a new female mountain biker, it was very intimidating for me to even enter a bike store, and with the environment here I felt very incomfortable asking questions, if I even could have found someone to help me. I walked around for about ten minutes and then, unsatisfied, decided to leave. I guess I'll have to buy in Greenville, I hear there are some great female friendly shops there. Maybe Febreze would be a good way to improve this store.
This place is run by the best group of guys you will ever meet! All of them are experts in mountain biking and their shop reflects that. They also offer yoga and spin classes in the back. I believe they will be continuing to expand and offering more activities from their location soon. Highly recommend!
Get some beer on tap. Buy or rent bikes and accessories. Great staff.
Great rental with nice people. When you come back from your ride make sure to join their club and chill out with a brew!
