Btw.....if you need a sweet treat ....shaved ice snow cones are at the entry of the park.

I have been using this rv park since it opened three years ago and I am very happy with the park. It's pet friendly with very few children visiting which makes for a quiet place in a more mature atmosphere. It's close to town for dinning or grocery shopping and close to the park to go hiking or tubing.

We go camping to get away from the noise etc. got here at 3 on May 26, 2017 neighbor to the bottom is a permanent camper and is rebuilding his deck to his 5th wheel. I asked the camper when he would finish he said I want to finish tonight but if not I'll be back in the morning to get it done. Another lesson learned don't camping campgrounds where people can be permanent residence

Howard, the campground host, is very helpful with his knowledge of the area. Whether it's mountain biking, zip lining, train riding or white water rafting he knows where you need to go. His knowledge on farmers markets, hardware stores and rv supply stores is also helpful.

Very close to the Great Smoky Mountains national Park and in the Deep Creek Community they offer tubing rentals for tubing on Deep Creek. Omgosh so much fun.

Brian, the owner, will be opening campsites on Deep Creek which is a cool water mountain stream with fishing, tubing and a beautiful soothing sound.

Stayed here for the weekend in June of 2017. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the small campground. The hosts were very welcoming and super helpful by giving us some maps and books about Bryson City and letting us use some of their fire wood. This is probably not the place for you if you have kids or like lots of amenities, because it is a no frills RV park, but if you like no frills like us then you will love it! We will definitely be visiting here again.

Big Bear RV park was is located less than a mile from Deep Creek national park. Managers are very friendly and make you like family.
