And so we just decided to go to PASQUALES!! EXTREMELY wonderful Italian restaurant but with many choices of delectable foods, and with a personal touch! Located a block from Calhoun House Hotel. Walk there and drink wine and have a magnificent dinner, then walk back to your comfy room at the Calhoun House Hotel!
We absolutely loved this place! The innkeepers were so wonderful and full of history, They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. If you want a clean and comfortable great experience with an awesome country breakfast, this is your place. You can wander around the hotel and see antiques, books, and historical articles of the innkeepers and building.
We thought about another hotel on Everett Street (The Everett Hotel ), 16 Everett St. Bryson City) however, they were just TOO expensive and wanted to charge us $30 EXTRA for our daughter to stay!!?? What??? Plus, we had trouble contacting them and their staff could not answer our questions regarding availability and rates. We had to call several times and then the phone would go dead. We actually tried to go there for dinner (told it was good but found out it was overpriced and a silly menu unless you were trying to impress a weird date lol) but they had miscommunication of our reservation (it was very annoying).
We have never stayed at a B&B before but it was a wonderful experience. We plan on coming back again.
We just left. And if worked out to our advantage! They were too "uppity" acting , and we go to some to some very nice restaurants that behave more friendly. So, get over yourselves!

Perfect location for shopping and restaurants and very nice owners. Prices are very reasonable as well.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Calhoun House! Luke and Leila were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable. The house was quiet and cozy, within walking distance of the Polar Express, and the breakfast served was absolutely delicious. Thanks Luke and Leila for making us feel so welcome!
The owners are amazing people who have restored this old Hotel to a B and B. The stories they will share are simply amazing and the breakfast is top par. Do not expect to find more the two outlets per room however. Door locks at 11:00 PM and opens up at 7:30AM. They turn the house lights off at 10PM and on again around 7:30AM.
