This hospital is dirty, with trash on the floor, filthy bathrooms, mud or feces smeared on a curtain in the ER. My son in law was brought here in an ambulance and waited over an hour in the ER hallway without even being spoken to. Nurses and staff had time to talk on the phone, though.
My dad was brought there by ambulance after an accident. They told him he was fine and said he could leave. He insisted he was in severe pain. Also my mom was sent to Tennessee via air care and he had no way to get to her. I had to call transportation for him to be able to get to her (which took 5 hours). When he got to the hospital in Tennessee it was obvious he was not ok. He was seen by the ED there and they determined he had a broken SCAPULA and multiple broken ribs among a few other issues! He was admitted to the hospital for 3 days. I can’t believe they were just going to discharge him like that. They should be ashamed!
My son was seen by the staff @ this hospital. The bill was fairly high for the limited amount of service that he received. We agreed to pay the hospital via a payment agreement (after we had paid them a few payments) and after receiving a nasty letters that they only accept PAYMENT IN FULL. We paid according to the agreement through October of 2016. After that bill, no other bills/invoices were received. In March of 2017, we get a "nasty-gram" from a collection agency (keep in mind both of our credit scores are over 800). WE PAY OUR BILLS. I call the hospital to find out what the deal is and they say that the co-pay wasn't paid and that is the balance that is left. I kindly let them know that an 11-year old was seen at the hospital while he was on a church youth outing and no one called us to pay the co-pay at the time. Got things worked out but their billing efforts are horrible.
My fiancé was brought to this hospital in an AMBULANCE and we waited over 50 minutes in the ER hallway next to the nurses station before we were even spoken to. Not to mention he had an open IV in his arm from the ambulance. After 50+ minutes a nurse finally came over to take his blood pressure and temperature while still in the hallway. The service here is so poor that any employees of the hospital were absent for over 30 minutes which allowed a patient to simply walk out and leave without notice, and three patients to come searching for someone. A patient also called from their room but was not answered for 20 minutes. I understand if they were busy, but they honestly weren’t. They took the time to get a patient a tray of food from the cafeteria because she hadn’t eaten for 3 hours, but left my fiancé in a hallway untouched with an open IV in his arm for over an hour with no assistance other than blood pressure and temperature. This hospital is an absolute disgrace and I sincerely hope that you are able to make it somewhere else before this sorry excuse.
Worst nursing staff was at hospital for 3 1/2 hrs and no nurse came to check on me but once.
